As I am the student of grade 11 i.e. (Pratikshya Chapagain) of science faculty. I had passed out my SEE last year (2020) from Lunar English Boarding School . As there were many extra clubs and activities in our school, I started my journey in eco club (SAMDHAN children-BEEP ) from grade six to grade ten .When I was in SAMDHAN children BEEP ,I have reckoned great skills regarding waste and its utilization which plays vital role in our daily life. My school before SAMDHAN concept was not so eco developed and was in poor level in waste management but when my school linked it’s relation with SAMDHAN children BEEP ,vast difference was seen before and after. It taught us to separate waste in three ways i.e. kitchen, plastic and paper .It taught us to plant the trees which makes environment green and clean.I have learnt to make greeting cards, hard paper, decorating items, and many other items from used and recycled plastic and paper.Also I learnt to make compost manure from degradable items. Regarding my opinion, SAMDHAN children -BEEP is very important for other schools/ students as well because in 21st century only writing and reading isn’t enough. Learning extra skills, creative attitude is today’s need. It had taught us to move creatively and change our mind with positive thoughts. It teaches us an appropriate policy and strategic framework which needs to be developed together with technical guidelines. Now, even our small juniors have knowledge about waste. Whenever they saw garbage around them they pickup the garbage and dispose it in proper way. SAMDHAN children- BEEP makes our school environment eco friendly. Many tourists from Norway, Japan and other countries visits our school once a week to see the environment whether it is progressing or not.
At last but not the least SAMDHAN children – BEEP is indispensable for today’s students /schools. Genuinely, it is one of the motivator of children’s thoughts. I can say proudly that SAMDHAN children- BEEP had made, is making and will make schools/ students apprised of solid waste management. Attachments area
Hi! I am Anjana Shrestha. I completed my school at Abhiyan Public School. And I am doing my bachelor’s here in the United States. I was in grade 9 when our school first collaborated with SAMDAN Children BEEP. At first, we students had a small discussion class with Devendra sir and other members of the organization on what this organization is how is it going to work in the days to come. It got me excited. As a result of working together, it brought drastic changes in our school’s waste management system. Like, there was increment in safety and health of students and teachers, every waste was managed properly in different dustbins with the tag paper, plastic, biodegradable waste, etc. The collaboration with SAMDAN Children-BEEP not only brought changes in our school but also in every student’s house and life. I was very motivated that I started using the same technique at my house too which helped me a lot. It helped me organize my waste in a proper way that a healthy environment was maintained at my house. The times when I worked with members of SAMDAN Children-BEEP and knowledge, the lesson that I learned from Devendra Sir and his teams are life-lasting. Also, every program like speech competition, waste collection competition and many more that our school with cooperation with SAMDAN organized was very helpful to attract the attention of students to this topic. I want to thank Devendra Sir and each member of the organization for everything. It was a great honor to work with them. And I believe, such collaboration with other more schools should be enhanced in the days to come so that we can make a safe environment around ustes.
